today's post is dedicated to all of the people who worked this last weekend keeping us all safe here on the east coast during hurricane irene. I feel extremely fortunate to have kept both our power and our phone service especially since people in our surrounding area are without both. god bless us everyone.
below is a photo of the typical sort of damage you see in my neighborhood. farmingdale didn't get too much flooding but we did get quite a few fallen trees.
