A State of Limbo

Posted on the 16 April 2012 by Susiemcbeth @susiemcbeth
Limbo (Latin limbus, edge or boundary, referring to the "edge" of Hell, or as I prefer to call it TEETHING)
River and Indigo are both teething. Their gums are bumpy and sore, they are producing enough dribble to cure the need of a hose pipe ban (not that their dribble would be a favourable replacement to water, but you gotta take what you can get right?) and they are both screaming like banshees whilst chewing on anything in sight.
I feel so bad for them as I am trying everything I can think of and nothing seems to be working. There is nothing so far in life more horrible (includinJoel Schumacher's  Batman (Fatman) & Robin) than seeing my twins so unhappy.
Remedies checked and tried so far (along with the obvious kisses, cuddles and general mommy affection that they get in spades 24-7):
Teething gel,
Crystals,
Calpol and with that not working I went to the harder stuff and tried Calprofen,
Teething toys,
Extra feeds and lots more cuddles.
With every scream I can feel a little of my sanity ebbing away. OMG they are loud!!! Especially Indigo who I think they can probably hear at the other end of the country.
Advice is welcome. I cannot wait for this stage to be over. I hope these teeth make an appearance soon. As teething is truly awful.
