A Stork’s Visit

Posted on the 30 May 2012 by Ladymoxie @ladymoxie2012

So many things have happened to me and my family during the interim of my absence here in MKL. Aside from Labor Day and Mother’s Day, two very important events had come and gone without me writing about them. Ahh, I feel so bad!

First, my eldest son R turned 8 on the 26th. We initially planned on throwing a small party for him and his playmates but since it is still summer break, most of his friends are still away. We ended up celebrating at home with only the family. Not as fun as Kuya R wanted but there was nothing much that we could do.

Second, MKL was launched on May 1st a year ago. Had I not been up to my neck with work, it would have been nice if I sponsored a giveaway or something, right? It would be a proper way to celebrate plus it would also give MKL significant boost in traffic (at least that’s what I hoped). But then, holding it next year could very well afford me ample time to look for sponsors and/or raise funds for the prizes. So next year it is!

But my biggest news to share actually happened in February when I found out I was 7-8 weeks pregnant. It was totally unexpected! I thought my abdominal pains were a result of a kidney malfunction but when I went to see a sonologist, it turned out I had a bun baking in the oven.

At first I couldn’t wrap my mind around the discovery because my husband and I had already agreed that three children is enough especially with the rising prices of commodities and what not, so having another baby was totally out of the question.

Even so, we accepted the baby with much optimism. In fact, the kids are also very excited with the new addition. They talk to my tummy every night, introducing themselves so the baby would recognize their voice. I hope they won’t get jealous so much once the baby starts eating up their mommy time.
