Aap Ki Nazro Ne Samjhaa...

Posted on the 25 January 2013 by Chhavivatwani @chhavivatwani

This Friday, Marian at Imaginary Garden With Real Toads has inspired us all to do a write up on the lines of Dessa, an Indi Hip Hop singer whose song called Alibi is one that I really enjoyed. The video reminded me of THIS video: Aap ki Nazro Ne Samjha that is sung by Gunjan and remixed with amazing music by popular Punjabi singer Bally Sagoo. (Yeah, I think due to the bath tub scenes in both!*winks*).
Here's the full song that I know by heart because it is a remix of a very old loved song (plus translated into English by me as close as possible :) ):
Aap ki nazro ne samjha (Your eyes have considered me
Pyaar ke kaabil mujhe (Worthy of love
Dil ki ey, dhadkan theher jaa (Oh heart beat of mine, slow down
Mil gayi manzil mujhe... (I've found my destiny
Aap ki nazro ne samjha (Your eyes have considered me
Ji humein manzoor hai (Yes, I do accept
Aapka ye faisla... (This decision of yours
Keh rahi hai har nazar........ (All my gazes say
Banda parvar shukriya... (A lot of thanks to you
Do jahan ki aaj khushiya (Happiness from both the worlds
Ho gayee hasil mujhe (I've conquered today
Aap ki nazro ne samjha (Your eyes have considered me
Aap ki manzil hu me (Your destiny lies in me
Meri manzil aap hain (My destiny lies in you
Kyun me tufaan se daru (Why should I fear the storm
Mera sahil aap hain (My shore is you
Koi tufaano se keh de (Somebody tell those storms
Mil gaya sahil mujhe (I've found my shore
Aap ki nazro ne samjha (Your eyes have considered me
Pad gayi dil par mere (Fallen on my heart are
Aap ki parchhaiyaa (Your shadows
Har taraf bajne lagi (Everywhere it is ringing
Sekdon shehnaiyaa (Millions of wedding bells
Haske apni zindagi me (Laughing, in your life
kar liya shamil mujhe (You have included me...
Aap ki nazro ne samjha (Your eyes have considered me)
And the video itself shows that love exists even after death (he's unable to touch her, although he feels her, hears her all through the house). And so I've decided to continue this Punjabi + Hindi solo in English, give it an end, keeping in mind Dessa style.
A memoryAlways here, not farEnticing you, pulling towards our bathNo matter what may happenI won't let even death do us apart
SubstantialFor you, I will be pensiveGone, I'll come when you're restiveWhat life may not give usIn death, we shall live
FearlessWhat you shall fearWe will bring it nearAnd live every moment etherealTill the haunting drops its spear
SinceYour eyes have considered meLove worthySlow down, my heart beatI've found my destiny
Your eyes have considered meLove worthy
