Airtel App

Posted on the 15 May 2015 by Shruti2910
Airtel happens to be my first network that I used when my parents gifted me my first phone. It was somewhere around in 2010 when I had my first phone and Airtel undeniably was the best network available. That was the time when call drops were too normal however with Airtel, that was never the case.
Before I got my mobile, I always used my father's mobile phone to talk to friends and relatives. It gave a sort of achievement feel to be able to connect with people through mobile at that time. My father used a network service provided by another company and I tell you, the connectivity issues were crazy! Call drops, breaking voice, no network, etc. were few of the major problems. It never worked when you needed it the most. Mobile number portability wasn't possible at that time and hence my father couldn't change his network as he would have to redistribute his mobile number to others. However, when I got my phone my father had decided that he would get me SIM card of any network but not of the one he used. Hence, I got my Airtel network. It was once that my father  and me were stuck in heavy rainfall. My dad tried to connect to my mother to inform her that we are stuck but safe, but his network didn't support at all. My phone had run out of battery then. We then switched the SIM cards and we were immediately able to connect at home. The point am trying to make here is that Airtel is very reliable as a service provider.
However, with facilities come pain of going to pay your bill to the service provider, etc. as I didn't have a credit/debit card at that time. I had to physically go to Airtel's shop every month or two to pay the bill. It was a monthly routine. I would recount one more incident. I had gotten into a new relationship and that makes your relationship with your mobile phone even more important than the other person. Mobile suddenly started playing a very important role in my life. However, after one month when I received the bill, I was flabbergasted. I had no clue how many calls I had made for a newly blossoming romance! The bill was crazily high than usual. Hence, I had to go through all the physical bill checking, etc. to realize that my long calls were made to my beloved.
Airtel app has launched a new app which allows one to check bill on the internet, see up-to-date usage detail and also manage one's services and accounts. This happens to be a very useful move.
