If I had to pull a Sophie's choice and name which outpost consistently has the best and most interesting selection, it would have to be Neighborhood. I cannot miss popping into this store every time I am remotely near Oak Cliff.
The store is beautiful and they have a great selection of art and gifts.
Some of my favorite local artists are represented here. Clay Stinnett paints all kinds of Americana images, from tattoo art to Big Tex and Hank Williams. He is on my Christmas list and Neighborhood always has some of his best work.
They also sell these skeleton pieces by Pinky Diablo. We have one in our hallway and it is always a conversation piece!
Neighborhood also features and sells my new favorite local print studio, RBTL (for Read Between the Lines). Their typography art is such a perfect blend of witty and stark. I have been dying to find spots in my home for every single one!

At 16x20", they are also a great size for hanging solo or working into a gallery wall space! All of the prints are archival quality and printed on 100% recycled cotton blend paper. I love how people have begun incorporating fun prints into their Holiday décor, adding them to their mantle or bar carts for a sophisticated and funny addition to the usual wreaths and ribbon trim. The RBTL Holiday line is new this year and especially amazing! I love the gold foil lettering that will look great with glitter trees and tinsel.
This sums up the season for my family pretty perfectly!
Put this one out at your holiday party and see what happens.
