While roaming the internet…okay, I was actually desperately seeking some inspirational iphoneography…I stumbled upon the blog of Karen L. Messick. I was sipping my morning coffee and before I knew it, three hours had passed as I poured through post after post of Karen’s stunning photos.
With Karen’s permission, (thank you Karen!) I am posting some of her work here for you to ooh and ahh over. It was hard choosing just a few, but here are some of my favorites.
I then headed over to the iTunes app store to purchase some of the apps Karen uses in her process. She generously lists the names of the apps used with various images.
Isn’t this gorgeous!
Be sure to visit Karen L. Messick iPhone Adventures to see more of her work and check to see if one of her future workshops will be in your area (I wish!) I’m keeping my fingers crossed for a webinar workshop soon!
I had a chance to play with a few of the many apps I purchased (iTunes loved me yesterday!)
Here are my results.
The first one is of our fairly new garden gate latch that looks nice and grungy after the application of several apps. Note to self: when I edit the photos I need to record my process so I can remember the apps that gave a particular result!
Believe it or not, this started out as a photo of the bristles on our garage broom!
I do kind of remember the process for this one (below). I took a photo of a metal floral decoration we have in our entryway. I used SphereLens, Picfx, AutoPainter 3 and Pic Grunger.
Happy Snapping!
