This year we’re celebrating our 40th birthday and wanted to do something special for the communities where our customers and staff live. So the entire BAYV team will be working together to raise £40,000 for the Buy As You View 40th Anniversary Community Fund.
Over the past few months, we’ve asked our customers and Facebook fans to nominate charities that they think deserve some of the 40k community fund. In some regions, our decision was made easy as overwhelming support for certain charities made them a clear winner. In other areas such as South Wales, we ran a vote on our Facebook page to help us decide.
Here are the winning charities that will get support from Buy As You View this year as a result of the numerous fundraising activities that we have undertaken and have planned for the coming months.
Here are our BAYV@40 Charity Winners!
We have a range of fundraising activities planned including raffles, cake sales, dress down days and bring and buy sales. Additionally we have a team of Buy As You View staff undertaking the ‘Three Peaks Challenge’ which involves a team of exceptionally fit Buy As You View staff scaling Snowdon in Wales, Scafell Pike in England and Ben Nevis in Scotland in just 24 hours! We also have two members of our South Wales team bike riding from Bangor in North Wales to Penarth in South Wales in just one day!
As you can see, we are all doing our bit to make sure we hit that £40k target.
