…be in the Pink

Posted on the 13 March 2012 by Zer @the2women

…be in the pinkScience has taken something else.  First our hour (although I suppose that was math, not science…or perhaps a team effort) and now they’re taking color.

Okay it’s just one color.  Pink. They’re not sure it’s real.

Personally, I want to know who “they” are and why “they” think they can question the existence of a hue that has brought us so much joy, bubble gum, cotton candy, flamingos , one of the Power Rangers, a color for breast cancer awareness, a great 80′s movie title, half of the gender color code system, the gang of girls from “Grease,” a certain mischievous panther of a certain shade, and so much more.

Turns out “they” is a guy with a science radio show and blog.  ”They” also has few people on “their” side.  Nonetheless, I will not stand for this war against color no matter its location on the color wheel.

You can pigeonhole pink, assign it to all things feminine and frilly, but you shall not take its right to exist just because it may or may not exist on the spectrum.

It has the same rights as red, orange, yellow, green, blue, indigo, and violet.  Seeing is believing and I believe “someone” may be wrong.
