A journalist named Larry Kusche asked exactly that question, and came to a surprising answer: there is no mystery about strange disappearances in the Bermuda Triangle. Kusche exhaustively re-examined the mysterious disappearances and found that the story was basically created by mistakes, mystery mongering, and in some cases outright fabrication all being passed along as fact-checked truth.

"You don't typically see straight edges with clouds," said Miller. "Most of the time clouds are random in their distribution."

The latest satellite imagery according to the portal is nothing more than a new weather phenomenon which also exists in other parts of the world.

But it's entirely possible that hexagonal clouds could be common over the region, and they could be associated with stronger-than-normal winds.

What has upset Cerveny the most is that he never had a chance to view the show before it aired and correct the claims it was making. He says the whole thing came as a big surprise. He had no idea what was going on and says he has no interest in studying the Bermuda Triangle. So, it sounds like it's back to the drawing board on this age-old mystery.

"The satellite imagery is really bizarre ... the hexagonal shapes of the cloud formations," said meteorologist Dr. Randy Cerveny. "These types of hexagonal shapes in the ocean are in essence air bombs. They're formed by what is called microbursts and they're blasts of air."

I wouldn t say what we re seeing in the Bahamas is the exact same as in the North Sea, Corriveau said.

But the problem was, no one had actually fact-checked the claims of boats and planes going missing in the first place. And when journalist Larry Kusche actually did a few years later, he discovered there was actually no mystery to solve in the first place.

This is according to Gian J. Quasar&rsquo s book Into The Bermuda Triangle. A UFO was also spotted by Columbus and his crew while in the region. It was apparently in the form of a light that hovered about them. The strange light appeared twice, leading the men to become even more inspired to explore the Bahamas. Today, specialists determine that Columbus and his men may not have mistakenly seen lights on land as they were too far out to sea. This has led many conspiracy theorists to believe that the explorer and his crew may have encountered an alien UFO.
