It's getting testy! It's not even Monday lunch time and you've already exhausted your entire repertoire of 'craft'. There's just not enough room on your fridge for another collage and you can't do potato prints - because you need the potatoes for tea!
Fear not, because I have been doing research on your behalf. I've scoured the internet (well I've looked at two sites who have already done the hard work) and come up my top fun things to do over Half Term in the North West.
Of course I haven't tested any, I've just picked the things that I think sound most funky and the ones I'd want to go to!
Shipwrecked at Underwater Street
Shipwrecked on a desert island...who knows who you might meet! Watch out for the infamous pirate Captain Blackberry who is on the lookout for volunteers to participate in his games, shows and challenges. Every 20 minutes there is something new to keep the whole family entertained.
We also have a whole host of new crafts to make and take home including pirate and princess costumes, hula skirts, shell necklaces and tropical flowers.

Green Lady - a musical for children
16th-18th February 2012
RNCM Studio Theatre, 124 Oxford Rd, Manchester M13 9RD A heart-warming tale of a simple gardener in the local park. One day he discovers a fossil of a sea anemone and after some magic, finds himself taking a remarkable journey.
On the way, Anemone and Liam discover that the world can be a difficult place and the importance of friends standing up for each other. The show features a talking anemone, Punch & Judy, donkeys running amok and some great music! Music and fun for children aged six/seven upwards and their families.

Lyme Park nr. Stockport(until 19th February). A delightful selection of original paintings on loan from the home of Beatrix Potter in the Lake District. The display will include the manuscript for Beatrix's Christmas Tale, the Tailor of Gloucester. Family activities including craft, dressing up and story telling.

Star Wars Events in Store

The Entertainer Toyshop, Chester (11th - 18th February). Star Wars events in store every day (10.30am-12pm and 2.30pm-4pm) including lightsabre demonstrations and Darth Maul Hunt. The fun starts on Sat. 11th Feb. with a Star Wars fancy dress competition. Click here for more information.
Tatton Park Scarecrow Festival

Visit Tatton's Scarecrow Festival in the Gardens and at the Farm this spring half-term (11th - 19th February).
Over 30 scarecrows will be resident in the Gardens. Find the farmyard scarecrows and have a go at making your own. Closed Monday.

Walk with the Dinosaurs at the Lowry Outlet Mall
Salford Quays (11th - 26th February) Our prehistoric fun kicks off with the chance to Walk With A Dinosaur. Meet our 6ft, animatronic Stegosaurus, in its own Jurassic setting!
You can come and learn more about dinosaurs from its handler and Paleontologist, including what dinosaurs ate, how they lived and why they became extinct. There will also be real life fossils provided by Manchester Museum, Jurassic Park Face Painting or you could get creative and Make your own fridge magnet.
