Blog Every Day in May Recap

Posted on the 01 June 2013 by Kcsaling009 @kcsaling

I don’t know what possessed me to try the Blog Every Day in May challenge, but when I first saw it show up, I was intrigued. Probably because that’s been one of the struggles with this blog – having so much to talk about but not giving myself enough space in my editorial calendar. I strayed off the topic more often than not, but when I forced myself to actually write about the topics at hand, it pushed me. It made me answer some of the questions floating around in my head, and face challenging issues. For that, I’m extremely grateful.

I’d just like to give you a quick rundown of what I posted:

  1. Recipe: Crab Royale ~a little introduction to me, my mostly Creole cooking, and a favorite recipe!
  2. Crafting A Recipe ~ here’s a recipe, and a look into how I create or pick the ones I’m going to use.
  3. Friday Style: Derby Dame ~ one day I’ll join my sister at the Kentucky Derby, but for now, I’ll just pick out clothes!

And just in case you’re curious, click back over to Jenni’s awesome blog, Story of My Life, to see all the prompts she provided. I was off topic most days, but I did run with a few of her topics on the wrong days, and even some of the right topics on the right days! All of them provided some serious food for thought, though, so you might see me revisiting the Blog Every Day in May challenge questions here and there.

Hoping everyone’s having a great weekend – and for those in the New York and San Francisco areas, don’t forget to check out the great date ideas and concierge service from How About We for Couples! Click this link and you’ll get $50 off your first date!
