…Break

It’s here.  The day before the night before “Breaking Dawn.”

Books have been read, re-read and over analyzed (guilty).  Box office predictions have even been made ($140 million, in case you’re curious).

Now all we can do is wait. And let the great debate begin.

Will you or won’t you? Go to see “Breaking Dawn: Part 1″ in theaters, that is.

Along with restarting society’s vampire addiction and giving a new generation of teenage girls something to scream about, Twilight has also created something we don’t like to talk about—shame.

I’m talking about those who went to see the first film a few weeks after it hit theaters. Then secretly read all four books in one weekend. When “New Moon” came out, we thought it might be fun to go opening weekend, but felt out of place amongst the throngs of screaming teens and tweens (and their mothers).

Caught in between the Twi-hards and their mothers, we are often forgotten.

This ends now. We read the books and purchased the films (with our own money…possibly). We should be able to hold our heads high. I say this weekend we proudly strut into our local cineplexes, and take our rightful place in the back of the theater (you don’t want to sit in front of the screamers).

Of course, next weekend is good too.

Here’s hoping this installment isn’t too painful.

…Coming Soon(ish): Part 2 …Dawn
