Welcome to Monday, fellow crusaders! Whether you’re feeling jazzed, dismayed, dizzy, dazed or indifferent after last night’s Tony Awards we could all use a little boost to get the week rolling.
Seeing as those of us who care about such things are coming off of a theater high, I’m borrowing my motivation from this year’s nominated shows. As one wise, singing nun once sang, let’s start at the very beginning. A very good place to start your week is with a check on your own attitude. A positive attitude can go a long way…even if you’re faking it.
Dressing for success (with a little magic, of course) never hurts either. They say to dress for the job you want…even if that job is Tony nominated wizard.
Even with the best attitude and the sharpest outfit things occasionally going wrong.
In the midst of a crisis (or a Monday pretending to be a crisis) don’t forget the people who always have your back. I promise you, they’re there. They’re the ones who keep you from crashing.
Of course, sometimes you have to rely on yourself and your own strength…even if that strength is just acknowledging your own weakness.
Finally, always remember and never forget, there are no problems that cannot be solved with cake.
