“Happy” Tax Day! Unless you’re an accountant, you’re probably either indifferent towards today, in denial, or feverishly filing for an extension. I wish you good luck and suggest you stop surfing the Internet.
Accountant Crusaders (you know who you are), I salute you…and know that tax season isn’t quite over for you, but it’s close my friends.
For the rest of us, it’s Wednesday, and that means time for some television suggestions. Let’s get to it: What to Watch Wednesday: Tax Day Edition!
I have to admit, I haven’t watched “2 Broke Girls” since its inaugural season. Mostly because a girl can only have so many shows in her life, and also because I still can’t believe they got rid of the horse (it was sent to a stable…calm down PETA), but there’s something appropriate about watching “2 Broke Girls” on Tax Day, isn’t there? Also, it serves as a fitting reminder of yesterday’s lesser known “holiday”—Equal Pay Day. You keep at it Max and Caroline, you’ll get the cupcake shop someday…not as quickly as 2 Broke Guys would, but it’s getting better:
Now, on a serious note (sort of), I can think of no better day than Tax Day to learn more about your friendly neighborhood IRS agent, and “Last Week Tonight with John Oliver” is the least painful way to learn more about this poor, misunderstood (in some ways) government agency. You can thank me later. I promise, you’ll feel like a good, informed citizen by the time the video’s over…and yes, I am proud of my excellent luring skills. Enjoy!
