I try to be very honest hear on Chasing Joy. I make an effort to say what I truly feel and fight my urges to sugar coat things or to be overly concerned with other people’s feelings. I say all of this to emphasize that other than being a little more open, because I am writing as opposed to speaking, I am the same online and in person. As I have become more and more comfortable with blogging more people who know me personally also read my blog. None of them are ever surprised at what they find on Chasing Joy. Ok pleasantly surprised that they like it maybe, but no jaw dropping shock at anything they read here. My online persona is the same as who you see in person. But If you don’t believe me feel free to find out for yourself. Or if you do believe me but are curious about, how tall I am, how I dress, or how I style my hair, here is your chance to see for yourself. I have been invited to Blog About It! And guess what, you are invited too. Blog About It, is a networking event for bloggers & their followers. I am honored to have been invited to represent Chasing Joy. Now while I am thrilled at the thought of hanging out with you Joy Chasers in person. I am a bit nervous. This is the first time I am being asked to represent my blog in person. Now Chasing Joy is my blog and my brand and as I said above it is Me. So I know I am representing it all the time. But somehow this feels different. I know I’d feel much more relaxed with some of you by my side :-)
What advice can you give me for representing my blog at an event for the first time? If you blog or have a small business or something similar what was it like when you first represented your brand in person to the public? And Who will be joining me at Blog About it???
