Chasing Joy Loves Blogalicious

Posted on the 09 September 2015 by Chasingjoy @chasing_joy
Chasing Joy Loves Blogalicious Today I am headed to one of my favorite  events, Blogalicious!  Blogalicious is an annual  conference  for bloggers. It targets a more diverse group of bloggers than some of the other conferences  that I have attended.  I will not be the only black girl or minority at the table.  It also includes a great  mix of education, networking, and partying.  I cannot say enough  how much I love this conference.
I love blog conferences in general because not many people in my everyday  life get it. Some don't understand  what a blog is or why I do it. Some kind of fear social media and definitely think I put too much info online. Some even thing its a waste of time akin to just playing on Facebook all day.  So, to be amongst a couple hundred people who get it is amazing.  I don't have to define or explain anything. Best of all I don't have to see that glaze of boredom wash over their eyes when I start talking about my blog.
I love all blog conferences  but I love Blogalicious  the most.  It will always have a special place in my heart because it was my first conference and it set the bar high.  Blogalicious changed my life in many ways both meaningful and trivial.
Meaningful: Blogalicious opened my eyes to the fact that my blog could be so much more than a hobby or online journal or diary (my aunts description not mine). It could be a resource, a platform, a source of income, a community, and more.
Trivial: Blogalicious is responsible for my almost daily use of makeup.  Thanks to my Cover Girl makeover at my fist Blogalicious in DC I now know what my foundation color is and how well the Queen Collection works for me.  LOL
I could go on and on about my love and excitement  about Blogalicious. As a matter of fact I already have.
You get the idea.  I will close with saying how thankful I am to be able to attend this year.  Last year  I couldn't because my mom was too sick for me to travel and leave here.  This year she is well enough for me to drag her along to enjoy the hotel.  This conference is a blessing to me in so many ways.
Will I see you there?
