Only 16 more shopping days (give or take a few hours) till Christmas!
If you’re looking for a more positive spin on a tight timeline, think of it as 17 days till they stop playing non-stop Christmas music.
Personally, I could listen to Christmas tunes from November first the ought the end of the year, but I know it drives plenty of people up the wall. Which is why a recent survey came as a bit of a surprise.
It turns out that there’s something that drives Christmas music haters crazier than playing “Jingle Bells” on a loop — campaign ads.
According to the survey, conducted by the Huffington Post, 81 percent would rather listen to some seasonal tunes than a campaign ad. Seven percent said the opposite…and must have been stuck in a hole for the last few months, because they obviously don’t know what they’re saying. The remaining 12 percent could go either way…and must have been stuck in that same hole.
Okay, so maybe it’s not all that surprising, but it does give you something to think about the next time your ear drums will rupture if you have to listen to “Little Drummer Boy,” again…it could always be worse.
