Happy Easter weekend! Today I’m wrapping up our weeklong celebration of National Library Week with a few reading suggestions for the holiday weekend. Because while we can all benefit from some extra time at the library, one of its greatest features is that you can take some of its treasures home with you.
“Jonathan Strange & Mr. Norrell” — I love this book. If you grew up loving the “Harry Potter” series and/or are a Tolkien fan, you’ll love this book. Also, while I highly recommend reading the book too…there’s a mini-series.
“Fahrenheit 451” — If you feel like revisiting a classic, this one is currently in vogue…for a reason that I won’t discuss in this nonpolitical post.
“Exit West” — A love story combined with a relevant tale of two refugees, this novel has a touch of reality mixed with a little bit of magic. It’s also timely…for similar reasons to “Fahrenheit 451.”
If those don’t see you through the weekend…well then you might want to consider spending some more time with your family. Happy Easter, and happy reading.
…just for fun:
