Today’s a special day for 2WC. Today we turn the big 0-4. It’s hard to believe it’s already been four years. I think that kind of accomplishment deserves a celebration, but it’s Thursday so you’re going to have to wait.
Don’t worry, we’ll have a big celebration on Sunday. For today I can think of no greater testament to the last four years than sharing a story close the founding principles of this blog—a study story.
Today’s is one that every clutter bug out there will love. Good news, you’re not a slob, you’re a creative spirit. It turns out that having a cluttered work space is associated with creative thinking. Go ahead, enjoy your moment…take it in…soak it up…
You stingy, immoral, unhealthy (but inspired) jerks. Oh yes, there’s a dark side to your creative chaos. Not too surprisingly a cluttered workspace also indicates selfishness and a lack of discipline.
I can see the office wars now. Just make sure to print out the article so you can literally throw it in your messy/OCD coworkers face as you point out the negative things their desk says about them.
I think the lesson here is there are no winners when it comes to desk organization…except those who keep their desks’ clean. Cleanliness is next to godliness. It’s a good thing clean desks don’t inspire any kind of complexes.
