Cleansing Habit for the Sensitive Skin

Posted on the 20 April 2012 by Khristinacarla @khristinacarla

I’ve been planning to blog this … weeks ago I just don’t seem to have so much time since I work the whole morning and a lot have been suggesting that I should share my beauty regimen to those who are suffering from a sensitive skin.

A few years back… most especially when I was in college I always get breakouts. I notice it happens every time my period comes around. It heals withing two weeks but the scars remain for almost 3 months. G-O-S-H! It was really a pressure to always wear make up on to hide those scars which makes my other breakouts worse.

One day my mom got fed up from the frequent whining and took me to a dermatologist to put an end to this undying acne problems. The dermatologist asked a lot of questions and finally told what my skin is telling me. I HAVE A SENSITIVE SKIN.

She suggested that I throw out all those branded facial wash with all sorts of promises like whitening, pore-minimizing and skin vitamins. She told me I should use a cleanser that’s specifically formulated for sensitive skin like GALDERMA’s Cetaphil, P110/P375.

Its odorless, colorless and no additives so its not irritating.

I’ve been using this cleanser since I was in college (that’s about 7 years now… LOL). Now I seldom get breakouts. I didn’t say I never did :) There are times when I get sleepless party nights and forget to wash my face … that’s when I get breakouts.

Whats more to love about this cleanser is that you don’t necessarily need to wash it off with water, cotton balls are enough. :) Its good news for lazy people like me. LOL :D You know the feeling when you lye on the bed and that no one could ever make you stand up anymore :P

The last thing I had included in my cleansing regimen is Smart Peeling from The Face Shop, P495.

I started using Smart Peeling 2 years now and it was great with my sensitive skin. Why? because its organic. :)

Just to let you know, smart peeling is a foamy facial scrub. The fruit beads dissolves on to skin while massaging it. PLUS it smells nice and yummy!

Now to sum it up… I use Cetaphil on a daily basis as my cleanser and Smart peeling once every week (Friday nights … since I go bare faced on weekends whenever I’m home).

Now time to end your acne dilemmas. I hope you found my cleansing regimen helpful. :)

Love,

Khristina Carla.
