Happy Pi Day!
For those unfamiliar with this mathematically inspired holiday, today celebrates the mathematical constant — the number π.
Or to put it another way, π is the ratio of a circle’s circumference to its diameter, a number which we round to 3.14, but have yet to reach the end of…mind-blowing, right?
Today is also day two of our week-long celebration leading up to Friday’s premiere of Disney’s live-action, “Beauty and the Beast.” What do the two have to do with each other?
Good question. Unfortunately, I don’t have a good answer for you. I do have a bad answer, which is that you can use π to find the area of Cogsworth’s face.
And much like Belle’s arrival at the castle was the perfect excuse to put on a show, today offers the perfect excuse to indulge in a different kind of pi.
