It’s almost spring and already the excitement that only a new baseball season can bring is in the air.

Hope is renewed and fans across the country “know” that this will be the year…and then there’s the Cubs’ fans.

Much has been said about the fans of these lovable losers. They’re dedicated and delusional. And those are the nicer comments.

This year the team has taken care of the name-calling for us. This past week the team announced their new ad campaign — committed.

As in committed to winning a World Series in Wrigley and the fans.

However, that won’t stop the rest of baseball nation from suggesting that they should be committed.

Maybe next year you could go for something tougher like “punishment,” since you seem to be gluttons for it.
