This What to Watch Wednesday and the eve of International Women’s Day, it seems like the perfect time to celebrate a certain vigilante whose second season hits Netflix tomorrow.
If you don’t know who I’m talking about, I suggest you start binge-viewing season one of “Jessica Jones,” right now.
After more than two years, and one season of “The Defenders,” she’s finally back. This average citizen turned superhero turned private investigator turned vigilante is long overdue for a solo run on the small screen.
For those unfamiliar with Jessica Jones, all you need to know is that she’s the superhero the world needs right now.
Her no frills, straightforward approach is refreshing.
Her cynicism, understandable.
And her self sufficiency and problem-solving skills are second to none.
In short, she’s tough, resourceful, happens to have super strength and be nearly indestructible, and we’re happy to have her back.
