At approximately 9:15 ish central time last evening, my NCAA bracket bit it.
With one fatal, poorly planned attempt at victory when they could have easily tied it up and lived to fight another over time, KU killed my chances at having an almost decent bracket.
It’s cool. I’ve moved on. In my moment of grief I decided I’d root for the Cinderella story, FCGU, as an attempt to distract myself from the ashes of my “could have been glorious” bracket.
On that note I’d like to send my personal apologies to the players of FCGU, because it was at almost that precise moment that they handed over the reigns of the game to Florida and ultimately ended their fairytale, history making run in the tournament. Sorry guys.
So, for the sake of all remaining teams, I am officially revoking my support of any NCAA basketball programs for the remainder of the tournament. You can rest assured that none of you will hear me rooting for you. I can’t take the heartache and disappointment, and you probably don’t want my kiss-of-death endorsement anyways. Best of luck…to no particular team of course.
