Dark Distortions

Posted on the 21 November 2010 by Muhammadhazem @MuhammadHazem
Dark distortionsNot every obscenely dressed female entering a dimly lit building is a corrupt heading for a destination where value is thrown down trash cans in a non-recyclable manner. Cars parked under the shade of overstretching trees do not necessarily include the mischievous deluding the innocent. No, the world is not scheming against you. No, not every passing by male/female, eying you casually is admiring your newly purchased securing outfit. It's all in your head; the perceptions closer they're to utter darkness than they're to brightness resemble the optical limitation inspired by seeing through confined cracks.

Some smash wide mirrors. They'd rather feel haunted by horror motion pictures than eying their disfigured reflections. Reality is a colorless mural painting. We color it according to the lens positioned upon our eyes.  Some reside in utter darkness. They fancy the world still, noiseless and undemanding.  It's all in your head; the perceptions that force a sole, undivided reality to get perceived in various colors and shapes. Drug addicts see the world swirling, free of limitations and gravity even though reality has always been an adherer to rules, pessimists have an unmatched ability to embrace the ugly, sometimes barely noticed lapses of the most successful life styles, and those who cave in long ago to the vulnerability of their flesh solely perceive solid grounds, latched doors, and pretty feminine faces as the keys to a fast-pacing physical quench.

No, the absence of missed calls or notifications on a social network home page does not oppose your self-worth; no, it's not part of the plan. Caution the tricks your bright mind can play on you. Caution the clogged perceptual filters that confuse innocent beauty for viscous temptation. Your psychological well-being starts journeying to rock bottoms when Captain Hate, Apprehensions, and Uncertainty start steering your life. The inception of delusions and unrealistic understandings conquer and colonize. You think of the universe as a one fat lie. You start hating going to birthday parties, because the attentive crowd is cheering and clapping for someone else. You start resenting live concerts and class-room presentations, because those seated nearby are attentively eying someone else. Your sense of security and stability fades. Your perceptions start touching horrifying extremes, where darkness reaches an extent where it swallows recently lit candles.

Criminals allege the perception of pretty flowers and gardens when they're forced to tell what's in neutrally drawn pictures. They claim perceiving the world as a trimmed, neat shrubbery to obscure the viciousness of their conceptions; simply because it all comes down to your values, beliefs, and doings that shape your perceptual tendencies. It's the oldest trick in the book where those who wish to estrange people from a belief or value start associating grotesque traits and life patterns to the meticulously targeted figures or life styles for termination.

Scared little kids who wet their paints at bed time fear squeaky door being cuffed gently by turbulent winds seeping through unlocked windows more than anything else. The ones who lack self-control fear being alone; they fear another breach of their promises to gain control and cut down on the consuming habits. Abused women hate men and tricked men hate women. The happenings that nest in your life steer your perceptions. It's all in your head; the interpretation of reality.

Track down the clicked off buttons to click them on. Understand yourself. In spite of the startling complexity of our perceptual abilities, gaining control to limited extents is possible. Don't give free reins to the distortions in your mind to offer you a different, nonexistent reality. It's all in your head; the brightness or darkness ;).
