Well I didn't see this in my cards for quite some time. A crush! As in, I think a guy is cute and he might think I'm cute back type of deal. Flirting is about all I can handle these days but theres nothing like a good old-fashioned crush that can distract you from post break-up blues.
The crush works at the front desk at my gym; Philipe. I've thought he was quite cute for quite some time. He has a warm smile, dark eyes and an adorable personality. When I give him my name to check-in he never understands me because I say it with an American accent. Several times, this has left us in an awkward moment of silence before I have to say it with a French accent. My name sounds horrific with a French accent. I've had many French friends agree; its not just me. In fact, Philipe agreed as well.
Lately, we have been chatting up a little longer than usual and we've even switched our conversation from the formal vous to talk in the informal tu. I told him that when he speaks English, his accent is very cute. He blushed. I blushed. Coquine, indeed!
Well if theres one way to keep myself going back to the gym to loose this extra weight I have been carrying it will be with the help of Philipe. Ah, Philipe. Lovely uncomplicated Philipe. Serious dating is not an option these days but a little friendly flirting can work wonders in getting your groove back! Like Stella...
