These are a few of my favorite things in New York City....
The Magnolia BakeryThis was my spot as a teenager, back when I didn't care about my weight (and my ass was smaller), the café had actual tables to sit at because there wasn't a line around the block and the entire Village was taken over by Marc Jacobs. Simpler times..
La BonbonniereDon't be fooled by it's franco-name, there is nothing French about this authentic West Village greasy spoon. I used to come here with my cousins Vinny and Marco who grew up around the corner and we'd always debate whether to dine and ditch or not - clearly during my post-server days. Thankfully we never did because this is my go-to place when I'm craving an American Cheese Omelette, buttered toast and an endless cup of coffee.
Epistrophy Cafe This was an after work hang out where my co-workers and I would indulge in large glasses of Italian red, tapas and office gossip.
New York Tomfoolery
Why not take knitting to the next level?
Rice to RichesThe dessert take-out that is solely dedicated to rice pudding with crazy signs in the window. As you can imagine, I was allowed in.
Eataly My new favorite place for a "mid-day snack" of mozzerella and prosciutto di parma...(Clearly Séb helped me out with this big boy) If you have never been, I highly recommend going. It will blow you away...and I'm not just saying that because I'm Italian.(Sidebar: The produce section is also to die for..and I am saying that because I'm Italian. I can't help it, we love our produce.)
And finally, the Empire State Building letting us know with its colors that the holidays are over and it's officially winter.
