…Deliver

It’s a sad day for fans of the postal system (there has to be one or two, right?).

For the first time ever the U.S. Postal Service is downgrading their first-class delivery.

Which means that instead of knowing your stamped mail has a shot at getting to its final destination the next day; you’ll know that it will get there eventually (fingers crossed).

It seems an odd time to announce such a historic change. Seeing as we’re in the middle of the busiest mailing and shipping season of the year.

Now don’t panic if you haven’t finished bedazzling and stamping your thousands of holiday cards, or worse, haven’t sent your letter to Santa yet.

This change won’t be taking effect until spring, but you might want to start planning for next year.

Okay, truth be told, most of us won’t even notice the change. Snail mail was ousted out of its top spot years ago by email. The art of the hand written letter is long gone.

It’s sad to see a formerly great institution disappear, but progress marches onward.

I guess next year Santa will have to switch to email.
