…do your shareToday’s post is brought to you by Coca-Cola, not because they’re in any way affiliated with 2WC, but because 2WC is in love with their most recent campaign. So it’s really brought to you with Coca-Cola, but we digress.

So, what is this campaign that’s giving us the warm fuzzies? The Sharing Can.

Soda (yes soda, not pop, not coke…soda) can’t buy you happiness, but Coca-Cola sure is trying. Their new can design not only provides smaller portions, but when accompanied with a brilliant marketing campaign also encourages sharing.

That may translate to shaming consumers into sharing their Coke, but sometimes a price must be paid on the road to doing the right thing. Sure, underneath the feel-good message lurks another giant corporation, but can’t we appreciate the gesture for a minute?

Sharing is not exactly absent from our world, but perhaps we’re not sharing the right things.

If you don’t believe us, just take a quick trip down your Facebook news feed. If you don’t see at least one overshare post, then either you too have a social sharing filter problem, or some social media savvy Facebook friends.

Coca-Cola has created a healthy(ish), tangible sharing experience. Now if only we could follow that example beyond this fabulous can. If we took the metaphor out into the rest of the world, the real world, perhaps we could share our time, our kindness, and all beyond the realm of 140 characters. We can dream.
