Drums of Hope: Day 22: Do Come Again:
Welcome
To the Blog no one reads
Unfortunate Visitor
Have you not better things to do with your time?
Perhaps it is a late Sunday night
You should sleep, but insomnia can be
What karma is.
Are you going to spend it watching a girl
Writing for herself
Sharing with the world
Snippets of what goes on
In that strange head of hers
As her family mumbles to themselves
As her friends sigh in exasperation
A girl who sees her blog as a playground
Willing to share everything with other kids
But the park is much too old,
Some call it mundane,
Others turn up their noses
Because it is not as exciting
As the visually, auditory, sensory, digital new ones
She thinks of how it must feel
To be a cheap typewriter in this age
Hoping to be picked out for a museum for a change
But being much too strange
A price cannot be decided upon,
The typewriter does not know its own value or worth
And compares what cannot be compared:
The ideas typed in to it
So it is kept in storage,
For all one knows, it might be found one day and put on display
Or not
Till then, the playground is a deliciously beautiful open space
She enjoys wandering in
Perhaps she fancies herself as Mary
In her Secret Garden
Dear Visitor,
Welcome
To the Blog no one reads.
