It seems like the Internet has to weigh in on everything these days. From Twitter to Facebook, everyone is sharing their opinion whether they can back it up or not.
So it should come as no surprise, that the Web is snarky, and also thrilled, but also undecided about the latest casting announcement for, “Batman vs. Superman.”
If you haven’t heard yet, you might want to sit down, just in case you don’t fall into the indifferent group.
Jesse Eisenberg is playing Superman’s ultimate nemesis Lex Luthor.
Personally, I’m reserving judgement, but if forced to have an opinion, I approve. I also, for the record, think that Ben Affleck is a good fit for Bruce Wayne/Batman. Although, I’ll admit that it took me a second to adjust to the idea, but that was purely because of my loyalty to Christian Bale’s turn as the Dark Knight. Eisenberg, on the other hand seems like a natural fit for the charming, though slightly off, genius billionaire Lex Luthor.
For those who associate him to closely with his “Social Network” role,Mark Zuckerberg, do you really believe that he not one really bad day away from trying to take down Superman? There’s a fine line between genius and evil genius.
Of course, only time and the final film will tell. In the meantime, we’ll have plenty of opinions to opine over (even if about half of them are incredibly wrong).
