The end of the summer can be a bittersweet time for many, but after an end of the season heat spell, 2WC is counting down the days.
For many fall began after Labor Day, but according to the calendar we still have a few days left of summer. For those clinging to the final days, we thought we’d remind you of what joys await you in fall, in addition to the much cooler temperatures (please!):
Cooler Weather: Did we mention it’s been hot? It’s hard to beat that first fall day. There’s a certain specialness about the first crisp day and we are looking forward to it.
Pumpkin: Pies, lattes, candles, soap, you name it, you can probably find it in pumpkin flavor, scent, or shape. It’s the flavor of the season and now you can even get M&M’s in this favorite seasonal flavor. Please form an orderly line as you rush to get this limited time flavor.
Post-Season Baseball: I know some of you are thinking, that baseball season is almost over. But the rumors are true, there is baseball in October…for some of us. True, post-season baseball comes with its own heartaches and heart attacks, but the important thing is that we’re still in the game…Let’s Go Cards!
Football: Baseball may be America’s pastime, but football is America’s game. With the cooler, crisper weather comes the tackling and Sunday (and Saturday and Thursday and Monday) screaming sessions. Come to think of it, for a game we claim to love, there is a whole lot of yelling going on…I guess it’s a love/hate relationship.
So, enjoy the final days of summer, they’re wonderful in their own right, but don’t dread fall too much. It’s something to look forward to.
