The cloud let us down yesterday…again.
A hardware failure at an Amazon data center in northern Virginia brought down Amazon.com for nearly an hour.
To put it more simply, the cloud went down.
Making matters even worse, Internet shopaholics looking to distract themselves and drown their sorrows with filtered food photos mixed in with a few framed cat pics, nearly went into catatonic shock when they discovered that Instagram was also taken out by the same “hardware failure.”
Those not deterred by the loss of both their online-shopping Mecca and their filtered photo album, may have lost all hope when they found that Vine was also not functioning.
Although, more likely they assumed their Internet and/or cellular provider had once again let them down.
So, what is the silver lining in this cloud disaster?
Well, it was Sunday and the weather was lovely…or at least tolerable for late August. If that’s not enough of a silver lining, then we may to reevaluate our priorities.
