It's getting to that time of year where people are ready for it to be over. We personify the year, blaming an arbitrary number assigned to another revolution around the sun.
I get it, when things are beyond our control sometimes it's easier to place the blame. 2018 is the perfect scapegoat. After all it can't defend itself.
I'm not going to tell you to stop blaming 2018, but I am going to ask you to give the year a second chance (or whatever number you're on).
This year doesn't have to be defined by what we can't control because, frankly, that would be depressing.
We don't have control over a lot of things. What we do have is the ability to determine our own actions. We have the power to try and make the rest of the year better, if not for ourselves than for those who cross our paths.
So, get out there and be your best selves. Who knows, maybe you'll inspire others to do the same, and imagine where that could take us.
