Okay, this is a late addition to Fashion Friday, but better late than never, right?
Everyone has those days. Everyone has those weeks. This week was far from the worst in my life {remember, I’m in the Army – there have been some bad ones} but, frankly, it sucked. The Army has added a lot of extra steps to the PCS {permanent change of station – what we call moving} process, and adding those ankle-biter tasks to a week where deadlines for a lot of tasks were either moved up or I’d somehow gotten them wrong didn’t help matters. I’ve finally caught a little weekend break, but thanks to this week, it’s going to be a partly working weekend. I’ll survive, but I’m having some serious daydreams about getting away.

Weekend getaways always make me think of old Hollywood, the glamorous stars of yore, the Lorens and the Garbos and Princess Grace, getting all wrapped up in their hats and scarves and glasses just so they could get away from the craziness of life for a while. Where did they go? Houses at the coast, far off places where they wouldn’t be recognized, just hanging around their house with the windows pulled and the lights off, pretending no one was at home? Wherever they were, it must have felt amazing just to unplug for a little while.
My husband and I have been so busy lately, that as soon as this craziness dies down for a bit, I think that’s exactly what we need. And that’s how plots and plans begin
