Happy “Lost” Day!
That’s “Lost” as in the television series, from the mind of J.J. Abrams, that had, and still has, millions obsessing over the mysterious island and its inhabitants.
If you’re still wondering why, well, I have six random numbers for you: 4 8 15 16 23 42. True “Lost” nerds will recognize those numbers as the winning numbers on Hurley’s lottery ticket, and the numbers that Desmond had to enter every 108 minutes at the Swan station, and the numbers that represented Jacob’s six protectors for the island…and the list keeps going, but basically these numbers were very prevalent in the show.
So, basically today (4/8/15) at 4:23 p.m. and 42 seconds (16:23:32 in military time), all six numbers were represented. Thankfully, J.J. Abrams did not predict the end of the world, but he did correctly presume that the nerds who watch this show would obsess over this series of random numbers.
Although, is it really obsessing when obviously this series of numbers in this specific order have some sort of mind controlling powers, that’s what was keeping the people on the island. It has to mean something, right?
Anyways, enjoy what’s left of “Lost” Day, and try not to obsess too much over the fact that they never explained the smoke monster.
