Today, the New York Times hosted their own throw back Wednesday, when its Web site and mobile app went down for nearly two hours.
Thankfully, the other news sites, Twitter and Facebook were there to fill the hole left by the Times.
Of course, truly devoted New York Times readers were forced to resort to more desperate measures…buying the print edition.
Speculation ranged from the plausible, but vague – ”internal issue” – to the possible, but unconfirmed — cyberattack.
As of the time that this was posted, alien invasion and Matrix reboot have not been ruled out.
Although, the should-be biggest suspect that no one seems to have noticed, the Wall Street Journal, offered free access to WSJ.com for a 2-hour period today…coincidence?
Probably, but what’s the fun in that?
