Today the Cardinals make their way home for Game 3 of the World Series.
Now that each team has been victorious, it’s fair to assume that the fans have established their superstitions for the series.
I know for some these are habits cultivated over years of victorious baseball viewing, but many are spur of the moment realizations: songs that happened to be playing that now must play, people who happened to be out of the room that are now banished, articles of clothing that happened to go unwashed that now guarantee you watch the game in solitude.
Whatever they are, it is without doubt that without them, our team never would have won.
So, Cardinal fans, play your songs, banish your friends, and stink up your lucky shirt. This is the World Series! Remember, it’s only crazy if it doesn’t work. Go Cards!
