…go Sit in the Corner

…go sit in the corner

...now think about what you've done

Another Black Friday has come and gone, the rest of the world is shaking their collective heads at us, and I shake my head along with them.

What were you thinking?

I truly believe that you have to be crazy to go anywhere near a retail outlet on Black Friday, and once again the American public has stepped up to the plate and lived up to my tragically low expectations.

I’m not angry.  I’m just disappointed.

Pepper spray?  Really?!?  What happened to the good old-fashioned elbow to the face.  Isn’t there more satisfaction to be had in knowing that you got the Xbox out of dominance in strength, rather than by blinding your opponents with harsh, aerosol chemicals.

True.  Both get you arrested for assault, but one has an awesome bruise to go with your embarrassingly juvenile story.

I’m being kind.  Children behave better than some of you lunatics.  That’s including the ones you (you know who you are, even if you temporarily blinded all of your victims) nailed with the mace.

I get it.  They’re good deals, you don’t want to disappoint your children, you saw it first–the list of reasons goes on and on.

Who doesn’t dream of getting to the $2 waffle iron, but was it worth your dignity?

You’ve left me no choice.  Time out.  You know the spot.
