…go with Your Gut

…go with your gut

...life status? ...yes?

Just when you thought you’d given Facebook all you had to give, you can give them more.  I want to emphasize the use of the word can.  Notice I didn’t use the word must, are required by law, or really, really should.

You now can post significant life events on your timeline, such as moves, graduations, new jobs, diets, and your decision to be an organ donor. That’s right, Facebook now allows you to include your organ donor status as a life event.

Of course, there’s nothing legally binding about it.  So you can lie to make yourself look good. Shocking, I know, the thought that anyone would post something on their Facebook timeline that wasn’t necessarily true.

But the fact remains that you don’t have to actually donate your organs when the time comes…unless you signed the back of your license.  Although I would like to see someone whip out a Facebook timeline as evidence in a court of law.

No longer confined to the back of your driver’s license, your organ donor status can proudly sit on your Facebook timeline–an electronic testament to the life you have led…or at least the one you feel like sharing with all of your “friends.”

You can look worldly, smart, employed, fit, and selfless…on paper…I mean web page.

Does any of it have to be true?  Of course not.
