Habits– Hallmarks of Me

Posted on the 10 November 2013 by Rarasaur @rarasaur

I’m not sure where I picked up this habit, but it’s firmly ingrained. When in the presence of lots of tiny pieces of anything, I will use them to form little images on the table.

These were tiny plastic wishbones that we broke apart on Thanksgiving for good luck– many years ago.  It was my first real dinner with Dave’s extended family and I was trying to make a good impression, so I scooted myself away from the pile of lucky plastic wishbone remains.

By the end of the night, though, somehow magically– my habit came out to play and created these little guys.

I’ve done this at birthday parties and business conferences alike, with anything from those little confetti stars to pretzel sticks that fell out of their bowl.

They are lost fragments, and I’m sure my need to find them a larger picture to live within, is a reflection of me.  It probably indicates a wandering mind, or an obsessive need for everything to have a purpose– but in the end, no matter the why, it’s just a habit.

A hallmark of me.
