This weekend is all about my wonderful Mother. She is turning 75 on Friday January 10th and is an amazing, amazing woman. She is the most giving, compassionate and accepting person I know. I'm honored to be able to call her Mom. I got lucky when she chose me to be her daughter at six weeks old from the Children's Home Society in Miami Beach, Fl. 45 years ago.
I've watched (and continue to watch) my Mother take care of everyone around her my entire life, always putting everyone else's needs before her own. I believe there has to be a special set of angel wings put aside with her name on them. This weekend I'm taking Mom away, just a little getaway so that I can spoil her a bit. Just her and I. I love the time I get to spend with my Mother, we don't do this enough. Happy Birthday, may this day bring you all things that make you smile. I love you.
