…have a Look

selfieAs the world continues to reel at the realization that we’ve taken enough selfies to make it the word of the year, another selfie development is hitting the markets—selfie passwords.

I think we really have no one to blame here but ourselves, and possibly the Jetsons. How long has facial recognition been the stuff of sci-fi dreams?

Well here it is, but instead of having our profile scanned by a super computer were snapping close-ups all on our own.

Does a selfie by any other name still reek of narcissism?

I don’t know but I do know that there are flaws to using selfies as passwords, namely: lighting, glasses, facial hair, bangs…

There are security measures to prevent someone from simply holding up a photo to crack the selfie code (it’s called blinking).

But I have to say if the security of your phone is in such great peril you may want to take a moment and revisit some of the choices you’ve made along the way that you have to face such demons—worrying about your enemies cracking your selfie security system. How did we get here?
