Tonight marks the end of series four of Downton Abbey, and the beginning of the long wait until the Christmas special.
If you’re wondering what we’re talking about, well them you obviously don’t live in the UK…of course, neither do we.
American Downtonites won’t even see episode one of series four until January 5th. So, at this point, we’re pros at waiting patiently (sort of).
While we managed to be good sports when the series returned to the UK this past September of this year, this latest round of Twitter agony has proven to be too much for us.
So while our UK brethren endure the torment of the 45 days until the season finale we begin our final countdown to the series four premiere on January 5th, which is 56 agonizing days away.
That’s 1,344 hours until we discover how Mary is coping with the tragic loss of Matthew. 80,640 minutes between us and the bound to be fabulous return of the Dowager Countess. 4,838,400 seconds before we uncover Thomas’ latest mischievous plot.
Until then, we’ll be counting the days (although our countdown ticker will only be counting months as WordPress won’t allow us to embed a better countdown than the one on the left here…not to mention the serious rounding error), but don’t worry we’ll be here for every agonizing second.
