His Own Children

Posted on the 17 September 2012 by Chhavivatwani @chhavivatwani
"Dark wings, dark words",
Is the saying
For me there's dark wings
On every dark word you say
I've lost everything that I was
I have lost it all to the tide that came
With the thunderstorm, it took
Everything that I ever was.
To be content and happy and to blush
Was all I ever wanted
But there they spit, every one of them
For that took them away from being haunted
By the devil that resides in them all
And makes them greedy of luxury and brawl
For all a man the Christ hath made
Wanted was peace and happiness
But for one Christ's child
Rose a hundred Devil's own, heartless
For all this we may not blame Him
It is true that it is His own deed, yes
He still resides in some
And that's what defines miracles
And His own children may
Live long to see his Holy way
And for one miracle, they will
See hundred misdeeds and more ill
His own children are those
Who will suffer to see the world craven
His own children are those
Who will suffer the wrath of their own kin
His Devil's children will claim
To love, to care, to be supportive
Of His own children
