Happy Veterans Day! To all who’ve served our country, thank you.
These two words are incredibly inadequate. Those who’ve served our country deserve far more than a thank you, so allow me to elaborate just a bit.
Thank you for protecting our freedom. Thank you for fighting for the rights we sometimes take for granted. Thank you for seeing past our country’s flaws, and finding the courage to protect the potential for a better tomorrow.
Thank you for standing up for the dreams, hopes, and safety of all Americans. We’re not perfect, but you stand up for us anyways. Thank you for that.
I realize these words are still not enough, but they’re a start. Thank you for all that you’ve done, and continue to do, to make our country better.
…And to the families of those who’ve served, thank you too.
