I Am Okay

I am okay. That’s what I tell myself, what I tell everyone. I want to be with her but I know it is not working. It is the consciousness against the feelings. The inner fight to let go while your heart is still attached. Seeing her makes you happy. Seeing her hurts so much. Being so close and still so distant. Avoiding her means avoiding them. In times like this I don’t want to be alone. In times like this I feel more alone than ever. I don’t want to pretend but I still do. I am okay. Tthat’s what I tell myself, what I tell everyone.
