Please welcome guest blogger, and my sister, Hayley.  :)
She's the cutest pregnant chick ever, btw.  And also pretty good at the ranting thing.

I'm Pregnant, Not Dead--A Guest Post From My Sister Hayley
Since becoming pregnant, I have found that a lot of things change.
-You get morning sickness--which, in reality, is not just in the mornings…it’s more like morning, noon, and night sickness.
-You sleep more.
-You stop being able to fit into your on-the-town-clothes (or even your normal clothes for that matter).
-You can’t drink alcohol or coffee anymore.
-Sushi becomes poison.
The last thing I expected, however, was for my friends to change.  At first everyone was excited and eager to meet with me and hear about my plans, and all the new and exciting changes to my body and life. Then, slowly, the normal daily texts and phone calls inviting me out with the girls stopped. At first it was just the nights they went to hookah bars, but I expected that considering that hookah smoke is bad for the baby’s health.  Then I realized that I wasn’t invited to the Christmas tree lighting…then dinner…then parties…then coffee...
Here’s the deal:
-Pregnant people can go to parties. We just won’t drink alcohol (Not that I always did before I got pregnant anyway).
-Pregnant people eat dinner.  In fact, if we don’t eat dinner we get sick.
-Pregnant people like tea. Just because you guys get coffee at Starbucks doesn’t mean that there aren’t tons of caffeine free options.
-Pregnant people like to dance. Especially in their first and second trimesters before they are the size of a barge.
-During the pregnancy is your best chance to spend time with us. BEFORE we have needy little babies to take care of.
Last but not least, pregnant people have feelings. We have to go to the doctor and stress about money and diseases and miscarriages. We could use a night out and the support of our friends. It is especially hard on us when we are the only ones our age having babies. We feel like we have a whole new set of issues that our friends don’t understand. Because of this, we need friends we can relate to about everything else even more. People who can take us away from the stress.
If you have a pregnant friend, don’t treat her like she is a different person. Enough things are changing for her already.  She doesn’t need more.
Have you hugged a pregnant lady lately?
