We all have those days when we wake up in the morning and even crawling out of bed makes our muscles scream. How are we suppose to take class in such a condition? Well, the trick is to do exactly what your muscles don't want you to do.
Stretch them out. Deep breaths, let your muscles relax, and stretch. Moving is the last thing you want to do but you'll thank me afterwards.
Foam roll. This is a fantastic investment and I would recommend that every athlete have one of these on hand. Rolling out your muscles is one of the best ways to ease tension. According to: http://breakingmuscle.com/, "By applying pressure to specific points on your body you are able to aid in the recovery of muscles and assist in returning them to normal function. Normal function means your muscles are elastic, healthy, and ready to perform at a moment's notice."
